California Business Leader Takashi Cheng
Based in Pasadena, Takashi Cheng has served as a board member with Society 1 in Los Angeles since co-founding the company in 2019. His leadership responsibilities with the club range from sourcing and acquiring strategic real estate assets to organizing and hosting events for members and corporate partners. Cheng expanded his professional activities in 2022 by establishing GoldenTV, the first streaming service focused on Asian American and Pacific Islander content.
In addition to his business activities, Mr. Cheng serves on the boards of several nonprofits, including Children Mending Hearts and Project Angel Food. A few of his personal interests, meanwhile, are caring for farm animals, writing and developing film scripts, and supporting Asian American and Pacific Islander philanthropic initiatives.
Takashi Cheng studied law at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, graduating with his juris doctor in 2000. He also holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from UCLA.
